Federal Advisory Committee Act Support
What We Do
Since the enactment of the Federal Advisory Committee Act in 1972, the Federal Government formalized the process for creating and running advisory committees. This act ensured the data gathered and recommendations made were objective and available to the public. From an operational standpoint, WRI has experience in setting up and running FACA committees. Utilizing tools such as Microsoft Project, we assist the COR in planning out the year to year tasks and timeline for establishing, operating, overseeing, and closing out FACA committees.
During the life of a FACA committee, WRI provides project management, event planning, travel management, records management, and administrative support. Our program and project managers are all PMP certified and experienced in providing the full gamut of management support. WRI’s event planners are experienced in agenda preparation, meeting facilitation, note taking, transcription, coordinating site visits, venue selection, event marketing, and AV setup and support. Our travel managers all have years of experience in using Defense Travel System (DTS), GovTrip, Fed Travel, as well as booking services through private companies. WRI’s experienced records managers have setup FACA and NARA compliant paper and digital records, maintained such records, and closed out FACA committee records while strictly adhering to NARA standards.
Wagner Resources has extensive experience supporting government agencies in the establishment, running, and closeout of FACA committees. Our staff has an intimate knowledge of operational needs and concerns that only come with first-hand experience. Over the years we have developed these main keys to successful FACA execution:
- Knowledgeable staff - We provide a comprehensive team with experience in all operational areas. You can expect our staff to successfully setup, run, and closeout a FACA committee.
- Well organized program and project management
- Proper records management
- Comprehensive event planning
- Clear inter- and intra-agency communication
WRI maintains a flat organization, which allows visibility of all projects at all levels of management. Internal project reports and reviews are designed to highlight any problems that may require attention. In a typical contract for FACA Support Services, the WRI Team Lead or Project Manager will maintain detailed statuses utilizing tools such as Microsoft Project. This data is reviewed weekly to determine statuses and timeliness, which are then used to ensure projects stay on track. Therefore, the WRI Client is assured maximum efficiency from all FACA operational staff and a well-managed committee.
